Sheep
This is our dear sweet Lazarus. His mama didn't know how to care for him and we took him in. He was very near death 3 times and always pulled through...hence the name, Lazarus :-) He has funny looking ears that had gotten frost bitten his first hard day of life, which made the tips fall off. When he sees me, he still bellers, "MMMAAAA". I love my big boy ram! He was born in Feb. 2011. We sold our dear fellow on June 25th, 2012....hormones got the best of him and he was bucking and needed to be watched for safety.....Thanks Waz-a-Wee for blessing our lives....we miss you already!!
Here are the 3 ewe lambs that we saved this year. Little Sweet Pea (born July 2011) on the left was only the size of a phone handset the day she was born. The runt of triplets, her mama didn't know how to care for her. Then there is Buttercup next to her (born July 2011). She is only 5 days older than Sweet Pea but was a twin and had a better start. Butter Cup and the chubby gal, second from the right, Miss Violet (born Feb. 2011), are Lauren's bottle fed girls and they just love her :-) Lazarus is in his hayday with 3 young ladies to keep him company!
Below is Sweet Pea the day she was born. AAAWWW!
